Danny Whitten

Danny Whitten was an American musician and songwriter, best known as a guitarist and vocalist for the rock band Crazy Horse. Born on May 4, 1943, in Los Angeles, California, he became prominent in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Whitten's music primarily falls within the genres of rock and folk rock. Whitten gained significant recognition for his work with Neil Young, particularly on the classic album "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" (1969), where his contributions to songs like "Cinnamon Girl" and "Down by the River" were pivotal. His own notable work includes the song "I Don't Want to Talk" from Crazy Horse's self-titled debut album (1971), showcasing his poignant songwriting and emotional delivery.
